But LVT is not automatically the lower-risk option. More pieces mean more seams. More seams mean more opportunities for edge damage, water intrusion, and maintenance-related wear if the wrong product is used or the floor is exposed to conditions beyond its design limits. In wet or hygiene-sensitive spaces, that can become a problem quickly.

Moisture, substrate conditions, and why they change the answer
